We saved this Camaro with new sheet metal from Auto Metal Direct.
The body of this ’68 Camaro was in pretty rough shape when it arrived at our shop. Towed up to Alaska from Oregon during the late ’80s, this Camaro had been left to sit for years until the owner retired and was able to devote time to his project.
We installed new floor pan sections, a trunk floor, quarter panels, and a new roof skin (to remove a botched previous sunroof installation) from Auto Metal Direct. Detroit Speed subframe connectors were installed to stiffen the chassis. The color was custom made in house as per the owner’s wishes, and the rocker panel area was painted black to give the body a different look.
We look forward to seeing this car on the road when the owner completes the restoration/build!
