Purchased from the Original Owners Daughter, this '65 Coupe project was a good as they come.
This Corvette arrived to us dressed in mostly original acrylic lacquer paint in factory glen green. The first owner of the car had aspirations of racing, but the project was never really finished and the car was left to sit in storage for approximately 45 years.
We elected to strip the existing exterior paint down to bare fiberglass to address the many years of wear and tear on the body. In addition, we were tasked with installing new reproduction quarter panels from Corvette Image, in Gresham, OR.
We worked hard to closely match the original Glen Green , taking special care to closely match both the intensity and coarseness of the original metallic paint. We feel we nailed it!
After the body was painted, the owner of the car worked hard to restore the chassis and drive-train to factory correct cladding, complete with the numbers matching 425 HP 396 CI Big Block Engine and 4 Speed Manual Transmission.
Cars with a story such as this don’t come around often, but we sure were pleased to have the opportunity to work on this stunning example.
