This project was purchased partially done; we completed the build.
After some intense searching, the owner of this Bel Air (Aaron, Shop Owner) was able to track down a perfect ’55 bel air project! The car was listed for sale in Salem, OR, with the project well underway, but largely unfinished.
We were able to begin our assembly process with a completely new interior from Ciadella Interiors in Tempe, AZ. Luckily, the body on this Bel Air was in great condition and didn’t really need any major re-working or re-doing.
The paint on the exterior is a combination of Mazda Sonic Blue, and a custom Yellow Pearl pulled from the BASF R-M paint bank. The interior was updated with new gauges from Dakota Digital, audio from Retrosound, and pedals from Clayton Machine Works. The bright metal (stainless) on the exterior of the car was all restored and polished in-house, with the replacement one-piece front bumper coming from Real Deal Steel.
The drivetrain was left relatively original, with a 283ci small block chevy coupled to a 4 speed M21 manual transmission powering the car. Wilwood disc brakes were installed, along with a complete rear suspension kit from RideTech.
Wheels were sourced from Foose Design, and wrapped in premium tires.
In the end, this Bel Air is a fun cruiser that turns heads all day long!
